Visualization Creates Realization

Some business advisors encourage entrepreneurs to have a vision for their business. I agree. And I would encourage you to go much farther.

Take some time to close your eyes and envision what your business will look like many years from now. Envision the building. Envision the number of employees. Envision your levels of sales and profitability. Have a clear picture in your mind and reflect on that picture often.

Envisioning is another word for visualizing.

Back many years ago when I started Proforma with an answering machine and a used file cabinet, I was confident that I would build a very large company. I cannot claim that I had a complete vision of what Proforma has become. I just had 100 percent confidence that I was going to build something big. That confidence saw me through some tough times. Sometimes when we hit a brick wall we just need to know that it is going to be worth breaking through that wall.

Of course most people are aware of how athletes use visualization. Golfers see the putt going in the cup before they take the putt. Basketball players see the ball going in the hoop before they take the shot.

But visualization is way more important in business. It provides much longer term benefits.

  1. Visualization will help see you through some difficult times.
  2. Visualization activates the law of attraction and the universe itself to help you achieve your dreams.
  3. Visualization will help give you more motivation and focus.

You can accomplish great things with a great vision and great visualization.
